Job Summary

We are seeking a Lead Cyber Security Specialist to assist product teams in enhancing security risk management and threat modeling.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Acting as a domain specialist during threat modeling and security design discussions
  • Assisting with developing and improving security risk management and assessment processes
  • Educating product teams on security risk management in-line with current processes
  • Reviewing and providing feedback on product security design and risk assessments
  • Ensuring software bills of materials are crafted, maintained, and monitored for vulnerabilities
  • Documenting and communicating with product teams regarding security risks and deficiencies
  • Tracking the plans, timelines, and implementations of required security controls across all product lines
  • Utilizing expertise to identify evolving security threats and provide an in-depth understanding of if, how, and when they should be addressed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing, monitoring, and tracking third-party compliance

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field
  • 5 years of experience in a security role focused on measuring and monitoring risk and maturity performance
  • Understanding of the Cybersecurity Frameworks and how to apply it

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with the following skills and experience will be given preference:

  • Previous experience in software development, life sciences, or medical device domains
  • Familiarity with C, C++, or Java software development
  • Working knowledge of FDA Quality System Regulations (QSR) 21 CFR 820, ISO 13485 2003, and other worldwide medical device regulations
  • Experience in Agile Scrum software development methodologies
  • Hands-on experience with Secure Development Lifecycle and testing, threat modeling, secure communication, cryptographic algorithms, certificates, PKI, key management
  • Experience in conducting internal audit and facing external auditors
  • Experience in RCSA (Risk Control Self-Assessment)
