Data Scientist Position

We are looking for a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning, data analysis, and programming.

The selected candidate will work on developing and deploying machine learning models using Python and relevant libraries/frameworks. They will also be responsible for data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model experimentation.

Additionally, the candidate will present complex data insights through compelling visualizations and effectively communicate findings to stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solid foundation in statistical methods are required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deploy machine learning algorithms and models using Python and relevant libraries/frameworks.
  • Data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model experimentation.
  • Present complex data insights through compelling visualizations.
  • Effective communication of findings to stakeholders.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, or PySpark with strong programming skills.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, model evaluation, and optimization techniques.
  • Proven track record of developing and deploying models in production.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with Databricks and its robust data processing tools.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools like charts, graphs, and dashboards.
  • Ability to interpret data insights and translate them into actionable business recommendations.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field is required.

Experience:

A minimum of 3 years of experience in data science-centric roles with a strong focus on analytics, data science, and machine learning is required.

Industry Experience:

Experience as a Data Scientist in the Freight/Logistics industry is a must.
