STEM Academic

As a key figure in our education initiatives, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of education by designing and delivering impactful capacity building programs for teachers.

• Teaching:
  • Conduct engaging workshops and courses for teachers utilizing innovative pedagogical approaches.
  • Develop comprehensive program plans in STEM and provide essential inputs for the academic calendar.
  • Collaborate with subject teams to design and execute effective STEM programs.
• Content Development:
  • Create high-quality program frameworks, teaching plans, and workshop modules grounded in thorough background studies.
  • Enhance the Resource Centre by developing subject-specific resource materials.
  • Regularly update resources based on action research or academic reading and writing.
• Research and Development:
  • Develop research-driven content to achieve workshop goals and objectives.
  • Conduct training needs assessments and baseline/end-line evaluations.
  • Conceptualise and design research/s on regular basis to enhance program effectiveness.
• School Visits and Direct Intervention in Schools:
  • Observe classroom sessions to understand program impact.
  • Provide on-site support to selected teachers in schools.
  • Engage with teachers to understand factors required for effective change in teaching practices.
• Documentation and Reporting:
  • Document and report progress on allocated tasks.
  • Prepare and submit detailed training reports, classroom observation reports, and other reports.

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of relevant experience in capacity-building programs in Teacher Education.
• Master's degree (Mathematics/ Physics/ Chemistry), Bachelor of Education or an equivalent degree.
