At Pro Consult, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Planner to join our team as a Cost Controller.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional to lead financial planning, budgeting, and cost monitoring initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing expenses, identifying variances, and driving cost-saving initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Cost Control Systems: Design and implement effective cost control systems to monitor project expenses, ensuring alignment with budgets and financial objectives.
  • Prepare Detailed Financial Reports: Prepare detailed cost estimates, forecasts, and financial reports to support decision-making and optimize resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency.
  • Analyze Variance and Provide Recommendations: Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies between actual and planned costs, and provide actionable recommendations for corrective measures.
  • Establish Processes for Tracking Costs: Establish and maintain processes for tracking inventory, procurement, and material costs, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Ensure Compliance with Financial Regulations: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and accounting standards while managing cost control processes.
  • Drive Financial Planning Initiatives: Drive financial planning initiatives, including annual budgeting, project cost projections, and long-term financial strategies.
  • Provide Regular Updates and Insights: Provide regular updates and insights to management on cost performance, key metrics, and financial risks.
  • Utilize Financial Software and Tools: Utilize financial software and tools to streamline cost monitoring and reporting processes.
  • Support Audits and Financial Reviews: Support audits and financial reviews by preparing and presenting cost-related data and documentation.
  • Evaluate and Refine Cost Control Methodologies: Continuously evaluate and refine cost control methodologies to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A Qualified Chartered Accountant with experience in cost accounting and financial management.
  • Proven experience in cost control, financial planning, or accounting, with a strong understanding of cost management principles.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in reporting and compliance.
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $80,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
