Performance Test Lead

About this role:

We are seeking a seasoned performance testing expert to lead our QA team in delivering high-quality software solutions. As a Performance Test Lead, you will be responsible for architecting and overseeing end-to-end performance testing strategies across multiple concurrent projects.

Your primary focus will be on leading a team of performance testers in designing, developing, and executing performance tests for enterprise-scale applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, and product managers, to ensure that our software meets the highest standards of performance and quality.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a deep understanding of performance testing principles, methodologies, and tools. You should be able to analyze complex performance issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions. Additionally, you will need to possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present findings to stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of performance testers in designing, developing, and executing performance tests for enterprise-scale applications
  • Architect and oversee end-to-end performance testing strategies across multiple concurrent projects
  • Analyze complex performance issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our software meets the highest standards of performance and quality
  • Present findings to stakeholders at all levels
Requirements:
  • Minimum 7 years total experience in performance testing and quality assurance
  • Minimum 3 years proven leadership experience managing QA teams and projects
  • Minimum 4 years hands-on experience with JMeter
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in JavaScript programming
Bonus Requirements:
  • Experience with AI tools in testing or performance analysis is highly preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex performance issues
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to present findings to stakeholders at all levels
  • Flexibility to work non-standard hours based on business requirements and project demands
  • Experience with cloud-based performance testing and modern application architectures preferred
