Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

Purpose:

We are a global provider of cloud management and digital transformation services.

We bring experienced senior engineers and leading-edge technologies to guide clients' data modernization journey.

In this role, you'll be the primary point of contact for clients to modernize their data infrastructures and architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consulting clients on cloud-first strategies for core data initiatives
  • Providing thought leadership on process and technical matters
  • Becoming a trusted advisor to clients on all facets of Cloud Infrastructure
  • Designing, developing, deploying, and supporting the modernization of client's end-to-end data strategy
  • Mentoring client teams to keep them up to date with the latest approaches, tools, and skills

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • MUST have either Azure Data Engineer Associate or Fabric Data Engineer Associate certification
  • Experience working in consulting or contracting capacity in large data management and modernization programs
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Servers, cloud infrastructure on platforms such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, and Synapse
  • Knowledge of Delta Lake and Lakehouse Architecture
  • Understanding of securing Azure environment, such as RBAC, Key Vault, and Azure Security Center
  • Knowledge of Kafka and Spark and extensive experience using them in production environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve issues quickly
  • Knowledge of scripting languages and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience using PowerShell, Bash, and ARM templates
  • Experience in enabling continuous delivery for development teams using scripted cloud provisioning and automated tooling
  • Experience working with Agile development methodology that is fit for purpose
