Job Description

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Settlements team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cash settlement activities, including cash flow confirmation, affirmation of cash flows in system, and cash flow processing. Additionally, they should have knowledge of post-settlement activities such as fails management, breaks resolution, and reconciliation of breaks with fails.

The successful candidate will also have experience working with SWIFT messages used in cash settlements, such as MT103, MT202, and MT210. They should be aware of client money use and its implications, as well as electronic confirmation platforms like Markitwire, DTCC, and CLS.

The role requires hands-on experience with Excel, both basic and advanced levels. The ideal candidate will also have a solid understanding of financial products, including fixed income, CDS, IRS, equity swaps, equity options, FX forward, FX options, and NDF.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cash flow confirmation and affirmation
  • Cash flow processing and SSI update/correction/upload
  • Fails management and breaks resolution
  • Reconciliation of breaks with fails
  • SWIFT message processing
  • Client money management
  • Electronic confirmation platform usage

Required Skills and Qualifications

The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:

  • Minimum academic qualifications: Graduation (B.Com./BBA/BBM/BCA) or Post-Graduation (CA/M.Com./MBA/MCA/PGDM)
  • Experience span: 2 to 4 years of experience in settlements, reconciliation, payments, and nostro
  • Tools/industry utilities: Preferred hands-on and understanding of DTCC, CLS, MarkitWire, ALERT, etc.
