Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Vadodara. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with a focus on FEED, proposal, and detailed engineering in the EPC industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of executing projects in an engineering office or consultancy of repute.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, develop, coordinate, and review engineering work within the electrical engineering discipline on a project or assignment.
  • Supervise the day-to-day technical work of discipline engineers, specialists, designers, and drafters.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews for direct reports and hold career development discussions.
  • Prepare or oversee the preparation of discipline estimates and work plans in accordance with project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Estimate staffing needs and schedules and assigns work to meet schedule dates.
  • Coordinate with client representatives to obtain their approval on phases of work.
  • Review and approve key engineering drawings and calculations, including field and design documents relating to the electrical engineering discipline.
  • Coordinate assigned engineering work with other project groups.
  • Ensure that engineers supervised receive appropriate on-the-job training for their professional development.
Requirements
  • A recognized degree in electrical engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience in FEED, proposal, and detailed engineering in the EPC industry.
  • Relevant work experience in wind farms, offshore wind farms, solar, and other renewable plants.
Preferred Skills
  • Hands-on experience with electrical system study tools, such as DigSilent Power Factory.
  • System studies, including load flow, short circuit, harmonic analysis, transient stability studies, voltage drop calculations, single-line diagrams, protection and metering diagrams, relay setting, and protection coordination.
  • Insulation coordination and EMT studies using PSCAD.
  • Integration of renewable energy plants with existing electrical systems.
  • Good knowledge of international codes and standards.
  • Experience with equipment sizing, specifications, MR preparation, technical bid evaluation, and vendor print reviews of electrical equipment.
