We are seeking an experienced Art Director to lead our 3D art team. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and developing the overall visual style, tone, and artistic vision for 3D projects.
- The Art Director will oversee a team of 3D artists, including modelers, texture artists, and animators, providing guidance and feedback to ensure high-quality results.
- This role requires strong collaboration with game designers, developers, and other teams to ensure the art aligns with project goals and technical limitations.
- The Art Director will develop and maintain the 3D art pipeline and production workflow, ensuring efficient creation and integration of assets.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in fine arts, graphic design, animation, or a related field is typically required.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in 3D art production, with 2-3 years in a leadership or senior artist role.
- Necessary skills include expert proficiency with industry-standard 3D software, such as Maya, Blender, or 3ds Max, as well as experience with texturing and sculpting tools.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and communicate an original and compelling visual style.
- Lead and mentor a team of 3D artists to inspire and motivate them.
- Presentation of concepts and clear feedback.
- Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and external partners.
- Critical-thinking skills to overcome technical and artistic challenges.
