The Role: Data Engineer - Cloud Architect

As a seasoned data engineer with 6+ years of experience, you will have the opportunity to work on high-profile projects, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions. Your expertise in developing ETL pipelines using Python, SQL, and Delta Live Tables will be essential in driving business growth through data-driven insights.

  • Technical Skills: Developing ETL pipelines using Python, SQL, and Delta Live Tables">
  • Job Management: Managing job execution through Databricks Jobs, including scheduling and parameterisation">
  • Collaboration: Collaborating with data architects and analysts to ensure data models align with business needs">
  • Query Optimization: Data performance management using built-in Databricks features (i.e. concurrency for better query execution)">
  • Cloud Architecture: Designing and implementing scalable cloud-based data architectures using Azure Databricks">
  • Big Data Solutions: Developing and deploying big data solutions using Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, and other related technologies">

  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable data pipelines using Azure Databricks">
  • Develop and maintain complex ETL processes using Python, SQL, and Delta Live Tables">
  • Manage job execution through Databricks Jobs, including scheduling and parameterisation">
  • Collaborate with data architects and analysts to ensure data models align with business needs">
  • Optimize data performance using built-in Databricks features">
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering and cloud architecture">

What You Will Need:

  • 6+ years of experience in data engineering and cloud architecture">
  • Strong proficiency in developing ETL pipelines using Python, SQL, and Delta Live Tables">
  • Experience with Databricks Jobs, including scheduling and parameterisation">
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills">
  • Ability to stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies">

Desirable Experience:

  • Working knowledge of Control-M for orchestrating Databricks jobs">
  • Familiarity with Power BI integration and semantic modelling">
