Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Third Party Manufacturing Relationship Manager to join our team at Abbott. This role will be responsible for managing relationships with external manufacturing partners, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely launch of new products.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with third-party manufacturers to ensure timely and cost-effective production of new products.
  • Negotiate contracts with external partners to secure the best possible terms and prices.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Innovation and Development, to ensure alignment on product launches and manufacturing strategies.
  • Conduct due diligence on potential manufacturing partners to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate purchasing policies, quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the development of strategic partnerships with external manufacturers to drive innovation and growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as pharmacy or engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or external manufacturing.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Licensing and Acquisition (Operations)

As a Third Party Manufacturing Relationship Manager, you will also be responsible for supporting the Licensing and Acquisition team in evaluating and executing external manufacturing partnerships. This will involve:

  • Conducting operational assessments of potential deals to ensure supply continuity and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to review licensing and divestiture opportunities.
  • Developing operational terms for licensing and divestiture contracts.
  • Representing the External Manufacturing team in deal discussions and negotiations.
