Financial Reporting Specialist Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled professional to fulfill the role of Financial Reporting specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding and applying accounting standards, tax laws and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will ensure that our organization adheres to required compliances in an appropriate manner. This includes developing process notes where applicable to ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws and other regulations.

Additionally, the Financial Reporting specialist will be responsible for closing books within a given timeframe, ensuring the accuracy of financial and operational information entered into the system and testing new features of the system as they are implemented to verify accuracy of MIS procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and maintaining reports for management purposes
  • Providing input in the development or modification of currently established processes and procedures to drive efficiency gains
  • Configuring, maintaining, generating and analyzing reports for a Management Information System (MIS) to speed up organizational decision-making process and improve efficiency
  • Performing complex work operating various data applications and collecting information, analysis of data and generation of reports
  • Establishing effective working relationships with internal teams and providing relevant inputs which may have impact on the organization's performance
  • Developing good working relations with external teams which would include auditors and consultants
