SAP Project Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced SAP Project Manager to lead and manage SAP implementation projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP systems, excellent project management skills, and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop and manage project plans, including timelines, resources, budgets, and deliverables. Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders. Coordinate and manage project activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate project teams, including SAP consultants, developers, and business users. Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders. Provide guidance and support to project team members to ensure successful project execution.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for project-related communications with stakeholders. Manage stakeholder expectations and address any concerns or issues that arise. Prepare and deliver regular project status reports and updates to stakeholders.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor and control project risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure adherence to project management best practices and methodologies.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and business requirements. Conduct project reviews and post-implementation evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Develop and manage project budgets, including tracking expenses and controlling costs. Allocate and manage project resources effectively to meet project objectives.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Solid expertise in multiple years on any one core module of SAP (e.g., SD, FI, MM, WM, PP, QM, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of SAP systems, architecture, and implementation processes.
  • Solid SAP project management experience.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, etc.).
  • Desirable experience/exposure in public cloud, managing multiple end-to-end full-cycle implementations (S/4HANA Greenfield/Migration projects), and working with Indian and US clients.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. (Master's degree or PMP certification is a plus.)
  • SAP certification.
  • Preferred certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 certification.

Relocation and Work Requirements:

  • Willingness to work 5 days a week from Hackett Office @ Hyderabad.
  • Willingness to support during night shifts.
