Job Title:

About the Position:

We are seeking an experienced software engineer to fill this exciting role. As a skilled programmer, you will be responsible for designing and developing new features, maintaining and enhancing existing ones, testing and deploying code, creating back-end components, integrating user-facing elements, and ensuring cross-platform optimization for mobile devices.

About You:

  • You have a passion for building products with sophisticated features that are simple to use and visually appealing.
  • You thrive on being involved in all aspects of the product - front end, back end, cloud management, support.
  • You get things done quickly, in a timely manner, and with a strong sense of quality.
  • You are a self-starter and can figure out things you don't know or understand.
  • You enjoy working with other engineers, discussing solutions to problems, and supporting others in their goals.
  • You are very comfortable with virtual communication tools - web conferencing, chat.
  • Learning and growing constantly is your priority.

Required Skills:

  • 3-5 years of experience in web-based software development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Experience working with Ruby on Rails and ability to write clean Ruby code.
  • Proficiency with code versioning tools like Bitbucket, Git, GitHub.
  • Familiarity with MVC, REST.
  • Good understanding of front-end technologies including HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS3, and Bootstrap framework.
  • Familiarity with database technology and SQL programming (we use MySQL).
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies and tools (we use Jira, Scrum).
  • Proficient with Linux distributions like Ubuntu.

Preferrable Qualifications:

  • Experience with frameworks like AngularJS, Angular, React.
  • Experience with web servers like Apache, Nginx.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (we use AWS).
  • Experience in developing and maintaining APIs.
