Seeking a Results-Driven Senior Accountant

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Finance team.

  • Servicing as the primary point of contact for finance-related matters, including day-to-day activities, timely reporting, and compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring seamless month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reconciliations and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting internal departments with complex accounting matters, fostering a culture of excellence in financial management.
  • Protecting company assets by maintaining confidentiality and adhering to established security protocols.
  • Performing ad-hoc finance-related duties as needed, consistently demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

Accounting Operations

  • Overseeing daily accounting operations, including journal entries, ledger maintenance, and Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.
  • Ensuring timely month-end and year-end closing, guaranteeing accurate financial statements and regulatory compliance.
  • Reconciling vendor invoices to time sheets used for billing customers, promoting efficient cash flow management.

Taxation & Compliance

  • Preparing and filing GST returns, handling TDS/TCS compliance and return filings, and ensuring accurate and timely filing of Professional Tax (PT) and Provident Fund (PF) returns.
  • Assisting in statutory audits, internal audits, and tax assessments, providing expert financial guidance.

Financial Reporting & Budgeting

  • Preparing monthly MIS reports, Profit & Loss statements, and Balance Sheets, delivering actionable insights for informed decision-making.
  • Developing monthly budgets in coordination with business requirements, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Ensuring adherence to applicable accounting standards and internal policies, maintaining a culture of excellence in financial reporting.

Banking & Treasury

  • Reconciling bank accounts and managing banking transactions, safeguarding against potential risks and irregularities.
  • Processing payroll disbursements, vendor payments, and statutory dues, ensuring timely and accurate financial obligations.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Liaising with external auditors, consultants, and statutory authorities, fostering strong relationships and collaborative partnerships.
  • Driving process improvements and enhancing internal financial controls, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Maintaining and updating fixed asset registers and computing depreciation, ensuring accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Possessing an in-depth knowledge of accounting principles and tax laws, with a strong understanding of financial regulations and industry best practices.
  • Proficient in Zoho Books, Microsoft Navision, and Zoho Payroll, with excellent technical skills and adaptability.
  • Demonstrating strong analytical thinking, high attention to detail, and effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Holder of a CA or MBA (Finance) degree, with prior experience in mid-to-large organizations or a CA firm.
