Job Description

As a seasoned professional, you will play a pivotal role in managing the Foreign Trade area with a focus on GTS and advising business departments on all IT matters based on defined target architecture as part of projects.

  • Manage the SAP Foreign Trade team for our international SAP S/4HANA transformation project.
  • Conceive, design, and implement business solutions in GTS considering our governance model.
  • Carry out customization of the application, functional tests, plus support with integration tests or user acceptance tests. Creation of IT concepts as input for development teams is also part of your task.
  • Advise and support selection of suitable applications.
  • Act as contact person for external service providers and manage them in the project.
  • Provide holistic support for SAP foreign trade (export control and customs) applications, add-ons, and interfaces to subsystems together with colleagues.
  • Work closely with internal colleagues in an international environment.
  • Perform Level 2 and 3 support tasks at maximum 20%.
Required Skills and Qualifications

You have a degree in computer science, industrial engineering, business administration, or a comparable field of study.

  • Good professional experience as consultant in the SAP logistics environment with a focus on GTS, ideally experience in the GTS e4H environment.
  • In-depth SAP knowledge in GTS Export Management (Export Classification, Export Compliance, and Customs Export) and GTS Preference Management, cross-module integration knowledge in the area of logistics (e.g. Sales Distribution Foreign Trade), as well as end-to-end process knowledge, e.g. quote to cash.
  • Practical experience in conception and implementation of business processes in SAP GTS and, if possible, in relation with S/4HANA.
  • Several years' experience working outside of India for international companies and very good understanding of legal requirements in export control (e.g. based on US law, European law, and German law).
  • Team player with cross-functional and process-oriented mindset, strong analytical skills combined with assertiveness.
  • Strong customer and service orientation, coupled with diplomatic skills.
  • Confident demeanor, independent way of working, and strong communication skills.
  • Very good written and spoken English skills complete your profile. Knowledge in German would be beneficial.
