Network Team Lead Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Team Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will have around 6-8 years of experience in data center networking with 1-3 years of experience in Software Defined Networking (SDN) specifically in private cloud & virtualization domain.

  • Our ideal candidate will be responsible for architecting, designing, installing, maintaining, and managing the equipment needed to provide Cloud Network Infrastructure including physical and SDN network framework.
  • The successful candidate must ensure high availability, flexibility, and network performance while maintaining SLA.
  • Maintaining, auditing, reviewing, and updating infrastructure documentation is also a key responsibility.
  • Collaborating with clients and team members on day-to-day changes, incidents, and requests is crucial.
  • Leading a team of Network Engineers, providing technical expertise and guidance where required.
  • Proactively monitoring and analyzing key performance and capacity metrics and trends to assess risks and business impact.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and delivering solution presentations or technical proposals related to cloud network infrastructure.
  • Managing and/or delivering technical validation activities including Proof Of Concept.

Key Requirements:

  • At least 6-8 years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining DataCenter networks, L2/L3 technologies, Cisco/Juniper routers, switches, and wireless, Cisco/Juniper/Fortigate firewalls, Load balancer, etc.
  • Strong fundamentals and understanding of WAN & Routing technologies, WAN Optimization technologies, Security technologies, Switching technologies, Network monitoring Protocols & Tools, and SDN Technologies.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills and ability to quickly narrow down and resolve problems.
  • Highly motivated individual who is a self-starter and can demonstrate effective project management and completion of complex network tasks with little guidance.
  • Motivated learner – ability to quickly learn new technologies and keep networking skills current with emerging technologies.
  • Experience in handling a team of minimum 4 people in the above role.
