Job Title: Cyber Security Engineer

Description:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Cybersecurity Specialist to design, implement, and maintain robust security measures protecting our systems, networks, and data.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and security best practices, working closely with IT, DevOps, and Compliance teams to ensure seamless cybersecurity across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement security solutions to safeguard IT infrastructure, applications, and data.
  • Monitor networks and systems for security breaches, anomalies, and threats.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
  • Develop and maintain incident response plans; lead response to security incidents.
  • Perform risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Configure and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and other security tools.
  • Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to integrate security into DevSecOps practices.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Strong understanding of network, application, and cloud security concepts.
  • Experience with SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and vulnerability scanners.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Familiarity with tools such as Splunk, Tenable, Qualys.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications such as CEH, CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+.
  • Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure).
  • Experience in Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) practices.
