Job Overview

The Role of an EHS Manager is pivotal in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for employees while minimizing the environmental impact of operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • EHS Program Development: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs, policies, and procedures that align with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential hazards, conduct risk assessments, and implement measures to minimize workplace accidents, injuries, and environmental incidents.
  • Training and Education: Design and deliver EHS training programs to educate employees on safe work practices, hazard identification, emergency response procedures, and environmental stewardship.
  • Incident Investigation and Reporting: Lead investigations into workplace incidents, accidents, near misses, and environmental spills. Identify root causes, recommend corrective actions, and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with applicable EHS laws, regulations, and standards. Ensure that the organization maintains compliance with all regulatory requirements, permits, licenses, and reporting obligations.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response plans, including fire safety, evacuation procedures, and hazardous material handling.
  • Environmental Management: Monitor and manage environmental aspects of manufacturing operations, such as air emissions, wastewater management, hazardous waste disposal, and energy conservation.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in EHS management or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
