Software Engineer Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team. This role requires advanced data modeling and SQL development expertise with 6-9 years of experience.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in relational, dimensional, and analytical data models, coupled with deep knowledge of metadata management, semantic modeling, and enterprise data architecture. We are looking for someone who can work on large-scale, global data platforms while driving data modeling standards, governance, and best practices across cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and optimize data models for OLTP and OLAP systems.
  • Develop and manage robust SQL scripts to support enterprise data platforms.
  • Collaborate with business and technology teams to ensure effective metadata management and semantic modeling.
  • Implement and enforce data governance practices using tools like Alation and Collibra.
  • Contribute to data warehousing strategies, including history handling, transformations, and integration with large datasets.
  • Document processes, standards, and best practices to support scalable enterprise data architecture.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong expertise in Data Modeling (OLTP & OLAP systems).
  • Proficiency in SQL with hands-on experience in Oracle, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and Teradata.
  • Experience with data modeling tools (e.g., Erwin, ER Studio).
  • Knowledge of Metadata Management & Semantic Modeling.
  • Familiarity with Data Governance tools (Alation, Collibra).
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, history handling, and ETL processes.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
