This role is part of Arcadis Global Excellence Centre (GEC), where you will join our talented individuals working in India, Romania, and the Philippines, in partnership with our global offices. The GEC brings key capabilities and capacity to support clients seamlessly worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Owning BIM technical delivery and workflows.
  2. Overseeing the work and development of multiple colleagues on complex projects across multiple disciplines.
  3. Managing technical client relationships and independent technical review for projects of moderate complexity.
  4. Engaging in BIM global activities and mentoring junior staff members.
  5. Developing BEPs and BIM project workflow criteria for complex projects through research.
  6. Creating a supportive environment and ensuring effective task delegation within your team.
  7. Engaging in the creative and innovative development of BIM & Automation and continuous improvement of systems.
  8. Ensuring reusable data is collated, stored, and shared with teams.
  9. Leading team training plans and making significant contributions to upskilling and training.
  10. Producing and verifying BIM models and civil drawings for complex projects or components of projects for the Water Civils team.
  11. Taking responsibility for technical quality assurance and client feedback, ensuring effective communication of changes/modifications.
  12. Proactively engaging with Arcadis Regional offices/teams regarding safe design requirements and flagging risks at appropriate levels.
  13. Resolving issues and creating strong relationships with project colleagues in regions, evidenced by great feedback.
  14. Reviewing work and driving a culture of checking and accountability in the team, including interdisciplinary checks.
  15. Ensuring schedule and quality requirements.
  16. Working collaboratively with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design.
  17. Collaborating and coordinating with other disciplines to mitigate design challenges.
  18. Designing Health & Safety management for project works.
  19. Developing BIM content standards.
  20. Preparing own discipline model and/or content for BIM Coordination Meetings.
  21. Having high-level communication and writing skills.
  22. Leveraging BIM software and tools as a methodology for coordinating design documentation.
  23. Maintaining familiarity with various software tools such as CADSRC, REVIT 3D RC, Bentley Pro-Structures, Sofistik Reinforcement, Bentley AECOsim, Open Buildings, Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, ProjectWise, Navisworks Manage, BIM etc.

Software Requirements:

  1. Knowledge of BIM tools such as CADSRC, REVIT 3D RC, Bentley Pro-Structures, Sofistik Reinforcement, Bentley AECOsim, Open Buildings, Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, ProjectWise, Navisworks Manage, BIM etc.
  2. Familiarity with 4D Software's like Synchro 4D Pro / Navis Work simulation.
  3. Understanding of interoperability between software used for accomplishing discipline tasks.
  4. Demonstrated delivery acumen. Experience in civil drawings and BIM models for large-scale projects related to Rail infrastructure, including bridges, stations, depots, platforms, ancillary structures, etc.
  5. Experience in delivering civil drawings and BIM models at all stages from Grip 3 to Grip 8.
  6. Familiarity with UK Rail infrastructure / Network rail/TfW, TFL, LU etc. is preferred.
  7. Ability to produce 2D drawings for new or improved products using industry, departmental, and discipline standards.
  8. Liaising with other team members to produce good design solutions as per best practice.
  9. Maintaining awareness of innovations and developments.
  10. Performing other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time.
Required Competencies:
  1. Sound technical knowledge and academic qualifications.
  2. Familiarity with British/European codes, drawing standards, and practices related to Rail infrastructure projects modelling and drawing production.
  3. Awareness of software used for BIM modelling.
  4. Good knowledge of AECOsim, Revit, Micro station, ProjectWise, BIM etc.
  5. Good knowledge of Microsoft office.
  6. A self-motivated and assertive individual capable of working under pressure.
  7. Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  8. Flexibility to adapt to new work/challenges as per business requirements.
  9. Compliance with Arcadis business management system.
  10. Health & Safety Management.
  11. Performing other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time.
  12. This role involves designing or redesigning complex models and drawings from general written or verbal specifications provided by the Group Leader.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Diploma in Civil Engineering/BE Civil/ITI Drafting from a recognized University.
  2. 10+ years experience as a BIM Modeler.

Estimated Salary Range: £55,000 - £75,000 per annum based on location and experience.
