Interior Door Trims Specialist

Lead the design, development, and delivery of interior components for new or ongoing program development projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engineering designs, technical specifications, and delivery plans for interior components.
  • Oversight and management of commodity planning to ensure quality, cost, and time adherence.
  • Management of change requests, expenditure forecasting, and supplier teams to support project milestones.
  • Design verification test planning, including detailed planning of test stages through to sign off, and support for engineering test teams with issue rectification.
Requirements:
  • Experience in resolving business, technical, and process issues within a project team environment.
  • A working knowledge of product creation and delivery, change control, product definition, and change management processes.
  • Familiarity with automotive body cabin systems, plastic and sheet metal materials, design rules, bill of design, bill of process, DFMEA, DVP, DFM, part and assembly level tests, etc.
  • Ability to create 2D sections and 3D geometry using Catia V5/V6/TCE/Digibuck.
  • Experience in using CATIA V5 & V6.
  • Familiarity with domain knowledge, parametric modeling, BOM creation, and update.
  • Familiarity with GD&T.
  • Successful history of delivery within the automotive sector.
  • Familiarity with Enovia, Teamcenter Engineering (TCE), part release process, and system.
  • Engineering knowledge of defined component(s)/system(s) design, function, performance, production, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Power Point, Excel, Word, etc.

Qualifications: BE/B. Tech, ME in Mechanical/Production/Automotive Engineering.
