Database Specialist

We are seeking an accomplished Database Specialist to manage and optimize large-scale database systems.

About the Role
  • You will be responsible for designing schemas and data models, tuning query performance, and implementing indexing strategies to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Closely collaborate with development and DevOps teams to ensure seamless application integration.

In this role, you will stay updated on advancements in relevant database technologies and work with SREs and developers on Database design, performance tuning, and production support.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Data Distribution and Sharding: Manage data distribution, sharding, caching, and graph traversals for efficient query performance.
  2. Schemas and Data Models: Design schemas and data models for search, caching, and graph-based use cases.
  3. Query Performance and Indexing: Tune query performance and indexing strategies to meet SLAs for critical production systems.
  4. Automation and Monitoring: Automate deployment, scaling, and monitoring using DevOps tools.
  5. Troubleshooting and Support: Troubleshoot and resolve issues in real-time for revenue-impacting systems.
