Job Description

Due to the company's continued success in the technology and security consulting sector, we are seeking an experienced ICT and telecommunications engineer for a permanent position. This role will involve joining a growing team of technology professionals who deliver cutting-edge solutions to clients across various industries.

Key responsibilities will include developing and publishing telecommunications designs to support projects, undertaking detailed designs related to ICT and telecommunications systems, and preparing reports, specifications, calculations, and drawings to enable the tendering of works.

The successful candidate will also be required to liaise with other engineers, vendors, and contractors during the project duration, as well as mentor junior and graduate engineers within a multi-discipline design team.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Master's degree in electronic, computer systems, or telecommunications engineering, or Master's degree in information technology (networks)
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical and electronics engineering
  • Preferably past experience in mentoring
  • Must be pursuing Chartered Engineer (CEng) in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Extensive experience in leading, producing, and checking ICT and telecommunications designs
  • Underpinning knowledge of network design principles and significant experience working in critical environments
  • Detailed knowledge of designing and integrating various systems and subsystems, including but not limited to:
    • Telecommunications Network (FTN and FTNx)
    • Structured Cabling Systems (Fibre and Copper)
    • Active Network Design (Cisco, Aruba, Dell, etc)
    • Server (Compute) and SAN (Storage) solutions
    • Firewalls and network protection systems
    • Radio systems
    • Multiprotocol Label Switching Networks (MPLS)
    • Internet Protocol Closed Circuit Television (IP-CCTV) Systems
    • EN54 Public Address and Voice Alarm Systems
    • Integrated Station / Building Management Systems (ISMS, IBMS)
    • Customer Information Systems (CIS)
    • IP-based Access Control Systems
    • Multi-mode Intruder Detection Systems
    • Wireless Network Architecture
    • Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) including:
      • Video Intercom Systems
      • Passenger Help Points
      • BMS (Building Management System)
      • Telephony
      • Long Term Evolution (LTE Radio) propagation modelling, base station configuration, bandwidth management
