About the Role

As a Salesforce Field Service Lightning Developer at Prudent Technologies and Consulting, Inc., you will play a key role in designing and implementing custom solutions within the Salesforce platform. Your primary focus will be on Field Service Lightning (FSL) capabilities and integrations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Solution Design: Collaborate with business stakeholders and architects to understand requirements and design custom solutions using Salesforce FSL, focusing on service appointments, work orders, service resources, and mobile solutions.
  2. Custom Development: Develop and configure custom components, features, and functionalities within Salesforce using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and other programming languages and tools to meet business requirements related to field service operations.
  3. Field Service Lightning Configuration: Configure and customize FSL modules, including service appointments, work orders, service resources, service territories, and mobile solutions, to support field service workflows and processes.
  4. Integration: Design and implement integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise systems, such as ERP, inventory management, and IoT platforms, using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, middleware, and other integration tools to ensure seamless data flow and process automation.
  5. Mobile Solutions: Develop and customize mobile solutions within the Salesforce mobile app and FSL mobile app to enable field technicians to access, update, and complete work orders, manage inventory, and communicate with dispatchers and customers.
  6. Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop test plans, execute test cases, and perform quality assurance activities to validate custom developments and integrations, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and compliance with business requirements.
  7. Deployment and Release Management: Manage the deployment process for custom developments and integrations, including code migration, environment management, and release documentation, following best practices and change management processes.
  8. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Document custom developments, configurations, and integrations, and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team and across the organization to promote understanding and reuse of solutions.
  9. Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for field service applications, custom developments, and integrations, working closely with stakeholders and end-users to resolve issues and optimize performance.
  10. Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of Salesforce platform updates, FSL releases, and industry trends in field service management, and proactively identify opportunities for enhancements and optimizations to drive business value.

Qualifications and Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  2. Salesforce certifications, such as Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I and Salesforce Certified Field Service Lightning Consultant, are required.
  3. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Salesforce Developer, with a focus on custom development and integrations within the Salesforce platform, preferably in the field service domain.
  4. Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other programming languages and tools used for Salesforce development.
  5. Strong understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, including data model, security model, process automation, and customization options.
  6. Experience with FSL modules and features, including service appointments, work orders, service resources, and mobile solutions.
  7. Knowledge of integration patterns, protocols, and tools used for integrating Salesforce with other enterprise systems, such as REST APIs, SOAP APIs, middleware, and ETL tools.
  8. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
