Financial Accountant Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Financial Accountant to coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely payments, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers regarding payments, refunds, and Vendor reconciliations.
  • Update the supplier reconciliation portal regularly.
  • Work closely with clients to obtain missing vendor bills and approvals.
  • Prepare weekly AP reports and process vendor payments in accordance with company policies.
  • Review and verify Vendor reconciliations performed by other staff members.
  • Chase W9 forms from vendors and prepare 1099 workings as needed.
  • Perform tax return reconciliations and review sales entries on a weekly basis.
  • Review and calculate sales tax, prompt tax working files, and use tax calculations.
  • Prepare CRT, TPT, and 8027 county tax returns.
  • Reconcile balance sheets and respond to emails within 48 hours.
  • Deliver AP reports to clients in a timely manner.
  • Meet internal month-end closing deadlines and deliver financial reports accordingly.
  • Train new team members, assist them in settling into their roles, and provide guidance on company processes and systems.
  • Ensure adherence to internal processes and systems.
  • Leverage technology and seek opportunities to improve work processes and efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Commerce degree.
  • Strong understanding of Accounting and Financial principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Effective English communication skills and ability to convey complex financial information clearly.
  • Team player with a strong sense of collaboration and adaptability.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet stringent deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a focus on finding innovative solutions.
