Renal Care Specialist

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong medical background and excellent patient care skills.

  • Job Description:
    The Renal Care Specialist will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients with renal disease. This includes conducting medical check-ups, analyzing data, and ensuring compliance with government regulations.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Manage day-to-day patient care, including coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
    • Assess hemodynamic status, indication of dialysis, vascular access, and comorbid illness before dialysis.
    • Directly monitor dialysis, including prescription, care of vascular access, flow adequacy, complications, and liaison with nephrologist instructions during dialysis.
    • Monitor access sites, hemodynamic status, and complications at the end of dialysis, and provide instructions as needed.
    • Assess patients at least once in the ward after dialysis.
    • Maintain working knowledge of dialysis machines, water treatment plant, ventilators, defibrillator, and other equipment in the renal unit.
    • Implement guidelines and SOPs provided by Consultant Nephrologist.
    • Communicate patient care with Consultant Nephrologist on a daily basis through teleconferencing or telemedicine.
    • Ensure all records and reports are in place at the centre.
    • Timely indenting and stock-taking of required consumables and injectables.
    • Proper functioning of the centre.
    • Continuous medical education for staff.
    • Monthly reporting for the centre.
    • Proper waste management at the centre.
  • Requirements:
    To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong medical background, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
