Key Role Summary

We are seeking a senior economist to lead our research and analytics efforts, with a focus on Indian markets.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop econometric models to forecast future trends and identify risks in the Indian market.
  • Analyze macroeconomic data, including historical trends and forecasts, to inform our research commentary.
  • Monitor global economic developments and assess their impact on Indian markets.
  • Produce high-quality research reports that provide valuable insights into market drivers.
  • Conduct secondary research and work on projects related to the Indian market.
  • Support other departments as needed.

Necessary Skills and Qualifications

  • Masters degree in economics or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in economic analysis or a related field, preferably with a focus on modeling and research.
  • Strong interest in global financial markets and knowledge of recent developments.
  • Excellent quantitative and mathematical skills, with experience working with large datasets.
  • Proficient in Excel, VBA, and econometrics, with knowledge of Python or R a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to produce clear and concise research reports.
  • Familiarity with database tools, such as Macrobond, CEIC, and World Bank.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
