Job Description:

As a software engineering leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of talented engineers who are passionate about shipping high-performance code and tackling complex technical problems to meet the scale of our largest customers. You will establish the necessary processes to achieve optimal performance in the product and manage complex technical projects while providing roadmap planning.


Responsibilities:
  1. Lead a team of software engineers to develop and maintain high-quality software systems
  2. Establish and maintain the necessary processes to ensure optimal performance in the product
  3. Manage complex technical projects and provide roadmap planning to ensure timely delivery
  4. Provide improvements that help our infrastructure to be enterprise-ready, leading projects ranging from seed plans to customer-focused enhancements
  5. Cultivate a team culture of ownership, empowerment, and innovation
  6. Drive scalable and extensible architecture and good product development practices

Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
  2. 15+ years in a software engineering leadership position with experience in managing engineering teams
  3. Experience in the software industry, including time as an individual contributor, with at least 5+ years of experience in optimizing large-scale systems and big data pipelines
  4. 8+ years of engineering experience coding in at least one programming language, and experience learning new development languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, etc)
  5. Experience with performance and scalability engineering, metrics and tooling, performance R&D
  6. Experience with AWS, Kafka, Storm, ElasticSearch, Cassandra, NoSQL. Postgres/MySQL, Redis, Big Data, Data Lakes, and Kubernetes
  7. Knowledge on LLM, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), AI applications is a plus
  8. Ability to evaluate business goals from a capacity, reliability, performance, and scale perspective, translating these into requirements and influencing product roadmaps
  9. Excellent communication and presentation skills across technical and non-technical audiences
