The primary objective of this position is to oversee the daily operations of plant and machinery.

This includes managing the methodology for equipment erection, operation, and preparation of checklists, as well as controlling spare parts inventory and cost optimization.

A key aspect of this role will be to generate local management information systems (MIS) for mechanical heads at headquarters or project in-charges.

In addition to these responsibilities, the successful candidate will maintain site records of equipment, including logbooks, preventive maintenance records, and upkeep of equipment at zonal sites.

Other duties include making budget estimates for spares and running expenses for each machine and monitoring them on a monthly basis, as well as training personnel on the safe use of equipment and ensuring optimum utilization of plant and machinery according to their rated productivity output.

To excel in this role, you will require a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience, with strong leadership skills and a minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar position.

You should also possess excellent organizational skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

  • Erect and dismantle high-rise towers and other complex equipment structures.
  • Operate Luffing Jib tower cranes, passenger hoists, placer booms, and other specialized machinery.
  • Develop and implement effective methodologies for equipment maintenance and operation.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Optimize spare parts inventory and minimize costs.
  • Train personnel on safe equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
  • Monitor equipment performance and make recommendations for improvement.
