Job Title: ETL Tester

Job Description:

Analyze business requirements, technical specifications, and ETL mappings to design test plans and test cases. Collaborate with data engineers and developers to ensure seamless integration of ETL processes.

Perform ETL testing including data validation, data transformation, and reconciliation. Validate data flows between source systems, staging, and data warehouse/data marts.

Write and execute complex SQL queries to verify data integrity. Identify, report, and track bugs or data issues using defect management tools.

Automate ETL tests where applicable using scripting or tools. Prepare test summary reports and provide insights to stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in ETL Testing and Data Warehouse Testing.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and ability to write complex queries for data validation.
  • Good understanding of ETL tools like Informatica, Talend, DataStage, or SSIS.
  • Familiarity with data modeling concepts (star/snowflake schema).
  • Experience in testing large datasets and working with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata).
  • Understanding of ETL concepts, data quality rules, and data lineage.
  • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.
