BIM Technician Job Description

Our company is seeking a skilled BIM Technician to join our Land Development & Municipal Engineering team. This role involves producing high-quality drawings and models that meet client requirements.

  • Key responsibilities include production of watermains, piping layouts, profile drawings as per BIM / CAD standards
  • Preparation of drawings including conceptual sketches and detailed construction drawings, using Autodesk Civil 3D software (pipe networks, profiles, alignments, assemblies & sub-assemblies, 3D Feature Lines and Grading Groups) with quality and accuracy under high level guidance
  • Preparation of Revit MEP, HVAC, Electrical models
  • Production of drawings to ensure compliance with Client drafting standards and Quality requirements
  • Completing BIM / CAD tasks as directed by the Senior BIM / CAD Technician (or) BIM / CAD Coordinator (or) Engineers
  • Adhering to training requirements and staying abreast in Drafting skills

Required qualifications include:

  • Minimum of an Under Graduation degree in Civil Engineering Discipline
  • 3 – 8 years of experience in AutoCAD drafting and Autodesk Civil 3D Design
  • Ability to work well as part of a team or on an individual basis
  • Civil 3D, Revit, 2D Drafting, Plan & Profile drawings, Layout, key plan and Standard Drawings
