Job Title: Data Engineer Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Data Engineer to lead our data engineering team and provide technical direction for our scalable data platform. The successful candidate will have a strong blend of technical skills in data architecture, ETL, cloud platforms, and big data technologies, as well as crucial soft skills such as leadership, communication, problem-solving, business acumen, and project management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead research, proof of concept, architecture, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of data solutions
  • Design and implement modular, flexible, secure, and reliable data systems that scale with business needs
  • Integrate pipeline observability to detect and resolve issues proactively
  • Develop tools and processes to debug, optimize, and maintain production systems
  • Identify and address legacy inefficiencies to improve performance and maintainability
  • Quickly diagnose and resolve unknown issues across complex systems
  • Maintain clear documentation of data models, transformations, and pipelines to ensure security and governance compliance
  • Leverage advanced skills in AWS and EKS to build, deploy, and scale cloud-native data platforms
  • Lead and mentor engineering teams to ensure operational efficiency and innovation

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience in data engineering or related field
  • Strong technical skills in data architecture, ETL, cloud platforms, and big data technologies
  • Crucial soft skills such as leadership, communication, problem-solving, business acumen, and project management
  • Experience leading and handling a team of Data Engineers
  • Proficient with Python Programming, Scala, SQL, and Redshift
  • AWS ecosystem
  • Infrastructure as a code using Terraform
