Bureau of Indian Standards Certification Specialist

Seeking a skilled professional to guide clients through the ISI Mark Scheme under the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). The consultant will play a key role in helping clients, particularly manufacturers and importers of products, to ensure compliance with BIS standards.

The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of BIS standards under the ISI Mark Scheme-1 and be able to provide expert assistance in registration, documentation, product testing, and certification. They will also need to stay updated with changes in BIS regulations, especially for products under the ISI Mark Scheme-1.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide guidance on BIS Certification requirements.
  • Assist clients in identifying applicable BIS standards and categories for their products.
  • Facilitate preparation and submission of BIS application and required documentation.
  • Coordinate with BIS-recognized laboratories for product testing and obtain necessary test reports.
  • Ensure products meet technical standards for performance and safety as required by BIS regulations.
  • Act as primary point of contact between clients and BIS officials to expedite certification process.
  • Track and monitor status of applications, ensuring timely follow-up and approval.
  • Advise clients on testing and post-certification compliance.
  • Provide ongoing support to clients in maintaining compliance, managing renewals, and addressing any regulatory concerns.
Qualifications:
  • BE/BTech in Electrical Engineering preferable.
  • 0-2 years of working experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of BIS standards under the ISI Mark Scheme-1.
  • Knowledge of BIS portal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
