Job Title:

Career Guidance Professional

We are seeking a skilled and engaging career guidance professional to connect students with the right educational opportunities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Support students in universities, colleges, and high schools to prepare for, select, and get into suitable educational programs.
  • HIGHLIGHT THE BENEFITS OF SPECIFIC PROGRAMS AND COURSES TO ATTRACT STUDENTS AND ENCOURAGE DIVERSITY ON CAMPUS.
  • Help students choose courses and extracurricular activities that will help them get into their chosen colleges or careers after graduation.
  • Stay current with program admission processes and requirements, program majors, and courses, and developments in education and financial aid.
  • Organize recruiting events and represent institutions at college fairs, high schools, and other promotional opportunities.
  • Conduct interviews, review application materials, and assist in the admissions decision-making process.
  • Arrange campus tours and conduct information sessions.
  • Develop and maintain an active alumni network to plan events, help students find opportunities in their fields, and obtain funding.
  • Maintain accurate and current knowledge of educational legislation, trends, developments, and resources.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in education or relevant field is preferred. A Master's degree may be required for certain positions.
  • Some states may require a license to work in public high schools.
  • Experience in education admissions may be preferred.
  • Familiarity with educational programs, majors, admissions requirements and processes, and scholarship and financial aid resources.
  • Excellent active listening, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong planning and people reading skills.
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized.
  • Willingness to guide others and provide ongoing support as they make important decisions.
