CAM Programmer

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled CAM Programmer to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing process, you will be responsible for creating and validating CAM programs using NX software.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement CAM programs for 3D models using NX software, defining cutting tools and strategies.
  2. Validate outputs by running tool path simulations, generating NC code, and performing virtual simulations.
  3. Process inputs by validating 3D models against 2D drawings and assembling part geometry in fixtures.
  4. Support production by collaborating with process engineers to implement CAM programs on CNC machines.
  5. Analyze quality control reports, implement corrective actions, and iterate as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Diploma or B.E. in Mechanical, Production, Mechatronics, or Automobile Engineering (B.E. preferred).
  • Experience: 5 years (B.E.) or 8 years (Diploma) in NX CAM.
  • Skills: Knowledge of GD&T (mandatory), CNC machines (mandatory), NX CAD, cutting tools, and FANUC Controller (preferred).
Key Interactions
  • Internal: Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure seamless process execution.
  • External: Engage with clients for discussions and suppliers for specifications.
