We are seeking a seasoned Technical Project Manager to drive cloud-based software delivery for our higher education client.

This role requires deep, hands-on expertise with Ruby on Rails, Python/Django, AWS, PostgreSQL, and MySQL to guide technical teams through implementation, debugging, and architectural decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engineering Leadership: Manage multiple squads, coach teams on best practices, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Shore Collaboration: Align priorities and facilitate smooth handoffs with engineering and product leaders.
  • Technical Planning & Execution: Translate business requirements into scalable solutions, participate in architecture/design reviews, and assist with code reviews and troubleshooting.
  • Agile Delivery Management: Oversee project lifecycle, monitor milestones, and proactively resolve risks.
  • Talent Development: Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and skill development, set a high standard for performance and accountability.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 8-10 years in software engineering with full-stack development exposure.
  • A minimum of 5 years in engineering/project management in distributed/global teams.
  • A proven track record of managing complex projects from discovery through deployment.
  • Hands-on expertise in Ruby on Rails, Python/Django, AWS, PostgreSQL & MySQL, RESTful API design, Git, and CI/CD practices.
  • A deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
