Woven Garment Specialist

The key responsibilities of the Product Category Specialist include overseeing the end-to-end merchandising process in woven garments, acting as a liaison between buyers, suppliers, and the production team. The role demands strong coordination, costing knowledge, and the ability to deliver products that meet buyer specifications, quality standards, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the design team for seasonal collections based on customer requirements.
• Develop samples, negotiate prices, and confirm orders with respective buyers.
• Process material orders according to timelines while improving budget and costs.
• Maintain exceptional attention to detail, work independently, and adapt to changing environments and challenges.
• Handle small and high-value businesses effectively.
• Communicate clearly with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
• Have technical knowledge of woven garment manufacturing, including categories such as shirts, jackets, and bottoms.
• Display excellent leadership and management skills.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Textiles, Apparel Merchandising, Fashion Technology, or equivalent.
• 1-8 years of experience as a Product Category Specialist in a woven garment factory, preferably handling buyers.
• Strong understanding of woven fabrics, garment construction, costing, and production processes.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP/MIS systems.
• Ability to multitask, handle pressure, and meet strict deadlines.
