Job Overview

Senior Financial Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in analyzing financial data, evaluating investment opportunities, and supporting strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, with expertise in financial modeling, analysis, and valuation. They will be able to build and maintain complex financial models, conduct thorough financial analysis, and provide actionable insights to drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis of investment opportunities across asset classes.
  • Build and maintain financial models for valuation, forecasting, sensitivity, and scenario planning.
  • Prepare detailed investment memos and presentations for management and the investment committee.
  • Monitor and report on portfolio performance, key metrics, and market trends.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation initiatives.
  • Perform variance analysis on actual vs. forecasted results and recommend actionable insights.
  • Partner with accounting and operations teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Assist in due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate finance transactions.
  • Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance on financial modeling and analysis best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA, CFA, or CPA preferred).
  • 5-7 years of experience in financial analysis, investment research, or corporate finance, preferably in an investment company, asset management, or private equity environment.
  • Strong knowledge of valuation techniques (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling tools.
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, or similar financial databases is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
