Cloud Engineer Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our cloud engineering group, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable, secure, and efficient cloud-based systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement cloud-based infrastructure using industry-leading tools and technologies such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes that enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our cloud services.
  3. Develop and maintain documentation on cloud architecture, deployment processes, and system configuration.
  4. Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues across the organization on cloud-related topics.
  5. Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and advancements in cloud computing and recommend new technologies or methodologies to improve our cloud services.
  6. Work closely with development teams to ensure smooth integration of cloud-based systems with existing applications.
  7. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud service availability, performance, and security.
  8. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with changing technologies and industry best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering, preferably with a strong background in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture, migration strategies, and security protocols.
  • Experience with DevOps principles, agile methodologies, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
