Server-Side Developer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled server-side developer to join our team and play a key role in the design, development, and maintenance of server-side applications using Node.js and frameworks like Express or LoopBack.

The ideal candidate will have experience with a breadth of programming languages, technologies, and development practices. They should be proficient in server-side NodeJS programming with frameworks like Express, LoopBack, etc., and possess good knowledge on designing applications with RDBMS and NoSQL databases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain server-side applications using Node.js and frameworks like Express or LoopBack
  • Architect and build RESTful APIs and integrate them with front-end services (React) and external platforms
  • Design database schemas and perform CRUD operations in both relational (MySQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB) environments
  • Implement real-time features using Socket.io or WebSocket technologies
  • Build and deploy cloud-native serverless services using AWS (API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, etc.)
  • Write unit and integration tests, troubleshooting and debugging to deliver high-quality code
  • Participate in code reviews, agile ceremonies, and collaborate on architecture decisions

Requirements:

  • Experience with server-side NodeJS programming with frameworks like Express, LoopBack, etc.
  • Good knowledge on designing applications with RDBMS and NoSQL databases
  • Proficiency in RESTful API design and implementation
  • Experience with cloud-native serverless services using AWS
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
