This is an exciting opportunity to take on a challenging role as a Data Engineering Specialist.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for strengthening data engineering capabilities by delivering pipelines and solutions via Enterprise Data Platform. Your primary focus will be on building, testing, and optimizing data pipelines for various use-cases, including real-time and batch processing, based on specific requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Functional Analysts: Convert business requirements into data engineering pipelines, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Sprint Planning: Work closely with Scrum Masters to prioritize tasks and ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and test robust data pipelines using EDP architecture, adhering to DevOps practices.
  • Architecture Evolution: Contribute to the evolution of EDP architecture, participating in roadmap activities to drive data platform initiatives forward.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Collaborate with Leadership and partners to ensure high-quality data across DWH & AWS platforms for Business Intelligence/Analytical reporting.
  • Mentorship and Oversight: Provide guidance and support to junior team members, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.

In addition to these core responsibilities, you will also identify potential risks, develop mitigation plans, and actively contribute to development activities, ensuring the team's bandwidth is available when needed.

Requirements:
  • 10+ Years of Experience: A proven track record in delivering data solutions, with 7+ years exclusively in this domain.
  • Cloud BI Expertise: 5+ years of experience building Cloud BI solutions using AWS, with a strong understanding of agile development methodologies.
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Pyspark, and Python, with excellent problem-solving and prioritization skills.
  • Communication: Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with multi-functional teams across regions and time zones.

Prior experience with Snowflake or Azure data engineering is highly desirable, as well as knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, data visualization tools, and data governance practices.

  • Relevant certifications in data engineering on cloud platforms.
  • Familiarity with machine learning and Generative AI concepts.
