Visual Merchandising Specialist

The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the visual merchandising strategy of the business objectives and staff-related challenges, creating strategic recommendations based on this understanding.

This role requires someone to act as the main point of contact for all VM related aspects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Complete Visual Merchandising for a Territory, by creation of window and in-store displays
  • Taking complete responsibility for the look and feel of the store, with the aim of maximizing product sales
  • Developing VM plans across the network as per VM Calendars, and preparing planned budgets
  • Traveling with employees/team members to learn new concepts, creating a budget for the same and getting it approved is mandatory
  • Preparing season calendars for in-store displays along with datelines from planning to execution and budgeting this exercise
  • Enhancing relationship with vendors and negotiating with them to constantly work within allocated resources
  • Researching dates/findings and filing these documents also create budgets if any
  • Constantly inspiring the team with new VM concepts
  • Allocating resources (human resources) for this territory-wise
  • Responsible for in-store display, planning, and marketing promos designs
  • Developing exciting planograms in each territory and sending it to the stores in the beginning of the season
  • Ensuring to coordinate with the stores and ensuring that it is implemented as per the datelines
  • Training the store team in conducting research based on lifestyle concepts, trends, and regional attributes
  • Responsible for the following activities:
    • Developing floor plans and sketching designs
    • Sourcing materials and display elements
    • Maximizing space and layout of the store
    • Dressing mannequins and making use of creative lighting for window displays
  • Making regular visits to stores to ensure maintenance and upkeep of the stores
  • To ensure store staff is in proper uniform, well-spoken & aware of the VM standards
Qualifications
  • 3-6 years' experience in VM. Preferably from Exclusive Outlet Business.
  • Able to manage big teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to travel for work to different cities.
