Job Title: Financial Reporting Specialist

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze financial data to prepare detailed reports.
  • Review accounting inputs for IFRS 17 commentary and ensure accuracy.
  • Implement changes in SAS accounting application as per stakeholder requirements.
  • Conduct variance analysis and identify trends in business performance.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure financial information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes to support business decision-making.
  • Presentation of financial information to stakeholders, including senior management.
  • Utilize financial software to streamline reporting processes and improve efficiency.
  • Support strategic decision-making with insightful financial analysis.
  • Maintain compliance with accounting standards, including IFRS 17.
  • Analyze business processes to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
  • Document business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses to support IT project decisions.
  • Perform risk assessments for proposed IT solutions and mitigate potential risks.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to gather and validate requirements for IT projects.
  • Oversee the implementation of IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and within budget.
  • Collaborate with developers, testers, and other IT professionals to deliver high-quality projects.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to end-users on new systems and technologies.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of implemented solutions and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Prepare and present reports to management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (CA - Candidates).
  • Proven experience as a business analyst or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and IFRS 17 reporting.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, including Excel skills and ETL knowledge.
