Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Analyst to join our dynamic Finance & Accounting team at BlackLine. As a Senior Tax Analyst, you will be responsible for all aspects of our Indian tax reporting and statutory compliance, ensuring adherence to Indian tax laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review annual corporate income tax return and manage quarterly advance tax computations.
  • Oversee monthly withholding tax computations for all vendor payments (resident & non-resident payments).
  • Manage and file quarterly withholding tax returns, ensuring compliance with TDS/TCS regulations.
  • Assist in getting all certifications required for tax payments CA/CB, other certifications for returns, refunds etc.
  • Manage all GST related compliance, including monthly GSTR1, GSTR3B & GSTR2B reconciliations, annual GST returns including GSTR9 & GSTR9C filings, and regular and timely ITC refund applications.
  • Respond to tax notices, demands, and inquiries from tax authorities, and collaborate with the tax team in managing all Indian tax controversy matters, including the negotiation of tax settlements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is required, and a Master's degree in Taxation is preferred.
  • Strong Indian GAAP and US GAAP tax provisioning experience required.
  • SaaS industry, multi-national corporate tax experience is preferred.
  • GST compliance & tax controversy experience is preferred.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex tax concepts to non-experts.
  • Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills. Proficiency in tax software and ERP systems required.
