Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Vice President to join our team as a key member in driving the growth and success of Taurus Mutual Fund. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting and related compliances, including preparation of financial statements pertaining to the company (Taurus Asset Management Company Ltd or TAMCO) and schemes of Taurus Mutual Fund. Key responsibilities include:
  • Monthly MIS, net worth, and scheme-related reports like SEBI data, board submissions, IEF data, fund marketing expenses, distributor commission, etc.
  • Scheme-related accounts, accruals & expense ratios, TB review, audit, recon, voucher processing, and related activities.
  • Overall responsibility for annual budgeting, monitoring, and analyzing financial performance, providing insights to the executive team periodically.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance profitability, operational efficiency, and cost management.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, auditors, and other stakeholders to ensure adherence to statutory requirements.
  • All other routine activities of finance & accounts, including passing and accounting of bills.
  • To ensure compliance of income tax, TDS, GST & STT both with respect to timely payments & filing of returns (monthly, quarterly, and annual). Handling income tax, TDS, GST, STT-related cases/notices, if any. Timely handling and closing of statutory, tax, internal, GST, and DTER audits. Compliances under Companies Act 2013 related to finance.
  • Risk Management Framework compliance related to finance.
  • Propose and develop department-wide operational improvements from time to time.
