Job Title: Risk Management Specialist

This role is focused on operational risk management, working with various departments to identify and mitigate risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Risk Identification and Assessment:
    • Develop frameworks for risk assessment and identification of potential threats.
    • Evaluate operational risks across the organization and provide recommendations for mitigation strategies.
  • Risk Mitigation:
    • Implement risk controls and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Develop action plans to address identified risks and improve overall operational efficiency.
  • Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Monitor operational risk indicators and prepare regular reports for senior management.
    • Manage risk meetings with stakeholders and review RCSAs and KRIs.
  • Third Party Risk Management:
    • Manage third-party interactions, including external risk assessments and issues.
    • Identify potential risks associated with third-party interactions.
  • Policy Development:
    • Assist in developing operational risk policies and procedures.
    • Ensure policies are aligned with industry best practices.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with local and international regulatory requirements.
    • Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure timely submission of required reports.

Requirements:

  • Qualification:
    • A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field, such as finance, accounting, or management.
  • Experience:
    • A minimum of 7+ years of experience in risk management, preferably in a financial services environment.
  • Skills:
    • Operational risk management framework knowledge.
    • Risk monitoring, mitigation, reporting techniques and systems.
    • Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills.
    • Effective communication and presentation skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
