Job Overview:

  • A senior software engineer is required to lead the development of a complex system from inception to delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software design principles and be able to implement scalable, reliable, and efficient solutions.

  • The selected individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop innovative solutions that meet stakeholder needs.

  • This role involves designing and developing software using Agile methodologies, with a focus on automation, scalability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement software solutions across the entire system lifecycle.

  • Liaise with stakeholders to understand platform functionality and business objectives.

  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the associated platform, including aspects of business, applications, data, and infrastructure disciplines.

  • Apply Agile methods to develop software on the backlog, focusing on automation, scalability, and performance.

  • Produce resilient and long-lived software that adapts to future needs.

Requirements:

  • At least 12 years of experience in software design and implementation, including complex problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to analyze and validate complex requirements against business and systems requirements.

  • Leadership experience in implementing programming best practices, especially around scalability, automation, virtualization, optimization, availability, and performance.

  • Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Mockito, Microservices, AWS, PCF, Kubernetes, GitLab, APIGEE, Terraform, Splunk, and API metrics.

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills to convey complex technical concepts simply.
