Job Opportunity

We are seeking an accomplished Design Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for a skilled professional with expertise in designing and developing innovative steel furniture products.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and prototype steel furniture pieces such as tables, chairs, shelves, and storage units.
  • Create 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using software like AutoCAD, SolidWorks.
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure designs are practical and feasible for production.
  • Perform structural analysis of steel furniture to ensure durability and stability.
  • Select materials and finishes based on aesthetic, functional, and cost considerations.
  • Conduct research on trends in furniture design and material innovation.
  • Develop prototypes for testing and modify designs based on feedback.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for sourcing materials and components.
  • Ensure designs meet safety standards, environmental regulations, and specifications.
  • Assist in developing cost estimates for production, assembly, and materials.
  • Work with the marketing team to understand customer needs and incorporate feedback into designs.
  • Prepare technical documentation and design presentations for stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Design Engineer in the steel furniture industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of material properties, particularly steel and other metals.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes for steel furniture (welding, cutting, bending, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A strong portfolio of previous design work is beneficial.
