Job Title: Full Stack Web Developer

Bristol Myers Squibb is a leading pharmaceutical company with a strong focus on innovation. As a Full Stack Web Developer, you will be part of our team responsible for creating cutting-edge web applications that transform the lives of patients and employees.

The ideal candidate will have experience working on innovative projects, integrating LLM models & RAG systems, and ensuring seamless performance and reliability of web applications. They will design, build, and enhance dynamic web applications using React.js for crafting intuitive and responsive user interfaces.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop RESTful APIs that serve as the backbone for web applications, enabling smooth data exchange and functionality.
  2. Implement secure and scalable endpoints using Flask or Django REST framework, ensuring they meet performance and security standards.
  3. Work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  4. Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Terraform to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
  5. Use containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes to ensure consistent and scalable deployments.
  6. Implement caching strategies, load balancing, and other optimization techniques to enhance application speed and scalability.
  7. Participate in agile development processes, contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings.
  8. Ensure timely delivery of features by coordinating tasks and managing dependencies across teams.
  9. Conduct performance testing and profiling to identify and resolve bottlenecks in the application.
  10. Implement best practices for code quality, including unit testing, code reviews, and continuous integration.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks, particularly React.js.
  • Strong experience with Python and backend frameworks such as Flask/Django.
  • Knowledge of RESTful API development and integration.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with cloud services, particularly AWS (EC2, ECS Fargate, S3, CloudFormation).
  • Understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Terraform, and Ansible.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think algorithmically.
  • Excellent understanding of version control systems, specifically Git.
  • Strong background in database management and SQL.
